Amorphous Carbon

Soot is a powder-like form of amorphous carbon. The word "soot" sounds so simple and harmless. In fact, it is anything but simple and is certainly not harmless. Soot is fine black particles, composed of carbon. It can consist of acids, chemicals, metals, soils, and dust. Soot are extremely tiny, smaller than dust and mold, and is about 1/30 the diameter of a human hair.
A high rise condominium suffered severe fire damage. Just because the fire itself damaged a few units, the surrounding units also suffered from smoke and soot.
The photo shows items after they were already processed through our ultra sonic cleaner. However, they are still inspected thoroughly, wiped down and carefully package before returning to its owner.
